## Introduction

Stop an already running local live trading project.

```
$ lean live stop [OPTIONS] PROJECT
```

To use the CLI, you must be a member in an [organization](https://www.quantconnect.com/docs/v2/cloud-platform/organizations/tier-features.md) on a paid tier.

## Description

Stops a running local live trading project without liquidating existing positions. The `<project>` argument must be the path to the project directory or algorithm file.

If you want to stop the deployment and liquidate all positions at the same time, use [`lean live liquidate`](https://www.quantconnect.com/docs/v2/lean-cli/api-reference/lean-live-liquidate.md) instead.

## Arguments

The `lean live stop` command expects the following arguments:

| Argument | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `<project>` | The path to the project directory or algorithm file to stop live trading. |

## Options

The `lean live stop` command supports the following options:

| Option | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `--lean-config <file>` | The Lean configuration file that should be used (defaults to the nearest lean.json) |
| `--verbose` | Enable debug logging |
| `--help` | Display the help text of the `lean live stop` command and exit |
