The goal here is rather then individually have to select each currency pair and resolution then add to cart. I am wondering if there is a way to automatically add every possible freebie data to the cart?
Alternatively does someone have a download link of all the data (forex or stocks or whatever is out there), that i could just copy to the lean data folder?

Lucas, did you have any luck finding any scraps of free data for equity stock tickers or ETFs? Being able to develop your algo locally isn't worth very much if you don't have the historical data to run tests on.

Lucas this is the closest to what you want for the download section. The first step you have to do manually at this stage. Though for fxcm there are only 13 symbols, OANDA only 70. Total "clicks" - 100.

Do you mean the cart of QuantConnect? I believe you are not allowed to download all data. I think you need to buy data and you need a subscription to get updates. I use the offline data only for debugging, and indeed something I would like to put my breakpoint somewhere at a point in future where not data is in the lean data folder.

Hi Jared, the lesson don't explain how to download in files, like csv files. Do you know how?

Marco - the files are downloaded into your Lean data folder when you run the algorithm, no need to download them manually. If you do wish to download them, you can find them in your repository (after you have subscribed to them).

Only Forex data can be fetched using the API Data Provider.
The API Data Provider will fetch the CSV files, so there is no need to download the files manually. You will need to change the config.json file to activate the API Data Provider.
