Hi,
we noticed the following issue with Dell historic data:
Beginning of November 2021, there was an important event, which lead to the situation that the DELL stock price was almost cut into half. What happened is that Dell completed the spinoff of it's stake in VMWare (see https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/why-dell-stock-got-cut-in-half-today-2021-11-02)
Looking at the historic adjusted price of Dell, we see the following pattern:
For unadjusted(raw) prices, we see this:
It's strange that this jump in price in the adjusted data turns into a drop in the raw data. How can this be?
Other platforms like Yahoo finance seem to adjust this better. See
