This is a very interesting case.
The period with missing data corresponds to the period when IBKR (Interactive Brokers Group Inc) traded in IEX.
QuantQuote, our data provider for equity data, does not have data from IEX.

Just for posterity we're also replacing the data with a new provider where this will be covered.
