Bio

I taught myself to program on an IBM 1620 I found in the basement of the physics building at Hiram College during a summer course I took in high school back in 1974. There was no such thing as a PC back then. Because of a mathematical calculation I did on the 1620 (999**999 exactly,) I was offered a job programming in 1975, and have been earning my living writing code of one sort or another ever since. Some of my code has flown on the Space Shuttle. My last project was an AI startup for computer security. Now I am reinventing myself as a Quant.
