I am trying to run few backetsts and all my runs are being limited ot 10000 orders . Is there a limitation for a free version ?

Yes, there is a limitation on the number of orders you can place in a single backtest for a free tier account on QuantConnect. The free tier allows you to place up to 10,000 orders per backtest. If you need to place more orders, you would need to upgrade your account. The 'Quant Researcher' tier allows up to 10 million orders, and the 'Team', 'Trading Firm', and 'Institution' tiers allow unlimited orders source.
If you are hitting this limit frequently, you might want to consider optimizing your strategy to generate fewer orders or upgrade your account to a higher tier.
