Understanding bitcoin data

Good day,

Can someone please explain how the Bitcoin data works?

The data I am looking at is the data supplied by http://www.quandl.com/api/v1/datasets/BCHARTS/BITSTAMPUSD.csv?sort_order=asc

 I understand the Open and Close values (these will be the values when the market has opened and closed respectively) when looking at a daily data feed.

What I don’t quite understand is how the data works when looking at a minute by minute update.

Is the open and close values still the open and close values for the specific trading day?

Is the high and low values the high and low values for that minute?

Sorry if the question is a bit of noob question but I would like to understand the data correctly.

That data from Quandl has daily resolution. Even if you subscribe to it with minute resolution:

AddData<Bitcoin>("BTC", Resolution.Minute);

Data will arrive once per day, unless you set the FillDataFoward to true:

AddData<Bitcoin>("BTC", Resolution.Minute, true);

And when no data available on a tradebar, return the last data that was generated.
Meaning that the last daily bar will be repeated.

So, during the trading day, the Bitcoin open. high, low and close refer to the previous day.
