Distinction between static and dynamic data types

Hi,
I'm having trouble understanding the difference between static&dynamic data types.
By the looks of it (before reading that is), I'd assume static is essentially historical data, wherever stored; and dynamic is live data.

But as per documentation, live trading data is also considered a static type. Guess it all boils down to the different data types (on the language level)
they feed listeners with (array vs object), but I'm still unable to grasp the difference.

@basher, when the documentation refers dynamic data types it's referencing dynamically loaded custom data. This is any data type that is not provided by the lean engine directly. A very common example of this is the Quandl data type which loads data from quandl.com and is added to the algorithm via the AddData method (vs the AddSecurity method for static data).

In short, static data is provided by QuantConnect and dynamic data is provided by the user's algorithm.
