I see that QC/Lean supports Bloomberg both for data and for trading, but I'm a little confused on the requirements and cost.

  • I have a Bloomberg Anywhere account, so can I use the Bloomberg Desktop API for market data to perform backtests by just installing Lean on the same machine? Or do I need to pay an additional license (and if so, am I paying that to QC or to Bloomberg)?
  • Bloomberg typically throttles data access through their Desktop API, limiting the total number of data points that can be accessed in a day to 500,000. Is the QC/Lean integration subject to those limits?
  • If I want to trade with Bloomberg EMSX, do I also use a local Lean install on the same PC or is that something that runs in QC's cloud?
  • Does Bloomberg EMSX support a paper trading feature?
  • Do I need an Institutional-level QC account for either/both of these?

Thanks.
