just got a very beginner issue here:
when I run the research.ipynb pad, it always shows "select kernel for the project"
I don't understand what is it and how to solve the issue.
can anyone help, please? do appreciate it!

Yeah, you should select a Python Kernel from the list.

I am aware this is thread is a while back. However, I am having relatively same issue. Mine is that I do not have any kernels to select from.

I also suddenly do not have any kernels to choose from. I used to click on “QuantConnect Research Server Collection” and could choose the kernels. Suddenly, whenever I do that the pop-up just disappears and the cell appears to run forever - while the tab takes about 800mb of memory.

Hi all
There might be a temporary API connection issue, or all research nodes are in use. You may close the notebook, stop any research node, then refresh the page and retry.
