When I try to run the following in a MacOS terminal, I get the following error:
lean data generate --start 20180101 --symbol-count 100
Error: Please make sure Docker is installed and running
Docker is installed, running, and I'm able to run the hello world container from the terminal

I haven't tried the data generate command, but lean backtest works for me with Docker Desktop running on MacOS .
When you try “docker -v” from your mac terminal do you get the response?

“docker -v” gives me a good response: Docker version 20.10.20, build 9fdeb9c
