Hello,
Does anyone trade multiple strategy on one live server or mutliple strategies on different servers within same brokers account?
I would like to ideally trade few different strategies on one server and one IB account, but I am not sure how can I set stop losses for different strategies.
I've seen, that there is a possibility to add a tag to an order, but after that I could not connect open positions with it's orders, is it possible? Or is there any other way to differentiate open positions of different strategies?
I understand, that there is a possibility to filter by asset, but what if I would trade same assets? That does not make sense for me.
If anyone has a solution, would really appreciate for any help

Based on the information provided in the extracts, it is possible to trade multiple strategies on one live server or multiple strategies on different servers within the same broker's account. However, managing stop losses for different strategies can be a bit complex.
In one of the forum discussions, a user mentioned creating a system to manage Profit and Loss orders where when one order is filled, the other is automatically canceled. This could potentially be used to manage stop losses for different strategies. However, the specific implementation details or code were not provided in the extracts.
As for differentiating open positions of different strategies, one of the users in the forum discussions suggested using the
tag
parameter in theLimitOrder
andStopMarketOrder
methods. This allows you to add a unique identifier to each order which can then be used to differentiate between them. However, connecting open positions with their orders was not discussed in the extracts. If you're trading the same assets across different strategies, it might be more challenging to differentiate between the positions. One potential solution could be to use different quantities for each strategy, but this might not be feasible depending on your specific requirements.
Unfortunately, without more specific information or code examples, it's difficult to provide a more detailed solution. I would recommend reaching out to the QuantConnect community on their forum for more assistance.
