Issue with account value

Here’s an example you (and 'David') can use in your QuantConnect live algorithm to log and alert when you get brokerage errors or margin/account valuation warnings like the one from Interactive Brokers. This will help you monitor for, and react to, “account valuation may be incorrect” or similar margin lock messages. You can add your email to be notified right away when QC receives these from IB:

What this does:

• Logs every brokerage message (such as margin change, order errors, or exposure lockouts).
• If the message contains phrases about restriction due to account valuation or margin, it logs an error and can send an email.
• Replace the email address in self.notify.email with yours.

Additional recommendations:

• If you see ongoing discrepancies, log the values of both QuantConnect’s portfolio and IB’s NLV using scheduled events or after you receive warning messages, and save these for support.
• Contact the IB Trade Desk if this persists (as their message suggested!), especially after a major trade or settlement.
• QuantConnect syncs account values every morning at 7:45am ET, but after major futures settlements, this type of “lock” sometimes needs a day to clear.
