Multi-broker support in a single live algorithm
So that users can trade both crypto and stocks from a single algorithm live node.
My tastytrade iPhone app supports both crypto and stocks, but the quantconnect doesn't, and it doesnt support any other broker to do both stocks and crypto.
This would be an amazing feature.

Subject: Feature Request – Enable Multi-Broker Support in a Single Live Algorithm
Hi QC Team,
I’d like to request native multi-broker support within a single live algorithm instance. Concretely, it would allow one running algorithm to connect simultaneously to two (or more) brokerage integrations—e.g., Coinbase for crypto and Interactive Brokers for equities—so orders across asset classes can be managed from the same code base, cloud node, and deployment.
Use case
• A unified strategy that trades both U.s. stocks and major crypto pairs, rebalancing risk dynamically across the two markets (similar to the multi-asset experience in the Tastytrade iPhone app).
• Today this requires spinning up separate live nodes or stitching together post-trade reconciliation outside QC, which adds latency, complexity, and cost.
• No single brokerage on QuantConnect currently offers both equities and crypto support for U.s. users, and the platform only allows one brokerage connection per live node.
Why it matters
• Seamless cross-asset execution from a single algorithm dramatically improves user experience and reduces operational risk.
• It would unlock more advanced portfolio-level strategies (risk-parity, pairs trading, vol-targeting, etc.) that blend traditional and digital assets.
• Supporting multiple brokers in one node would make QC even more attractive to sophisticated quant traders evaluating institutional-grade research & execution platforms.
I believe this enhancement would expand QuantConnect’s flexibility and accelerate the community’s ability to innovate. If you’d also benefit from multi-broker support, please add your comments and up-vote so the QC team can prioritize this feature.
