This strategy implements a long-only mean reversion approach across the 50 largest Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) constituents, selected dynamically by ETF weight. The alpha thesis is that large cap growth stocks often experience temporary oversold pullbacks within established long term uptrends before reverting toward their prevailing trend. The universe is filtered to securities trading above their 200 day moving average with a minimum 21 day average dollar volume of $5 million. Entry signals require the price to close below the lower Bollinger Band, an oversold RSI (14), and a pullback of at least 3% from the highest closing price over the previous 60 trading days. When multiple candidates qualify, positions are ranked by Bollinger Band z-score, with RSI used as a secondary ranking criterion. The portfolio holds up to 10 equally weighted positions and rebalances daily. Positions are exited when price reverts to the Bollinger Band midpoint, the long-term trend breaks, or the maximum holding period is reached. Risk is managed through equal weighting, liquidity screening, trend filtering, and systematic exit rules.
