Hello,
I am trying to get daily VWAP for future contacts without success
What i done so far is getting non expired contracts and getting the last snapshot only of the contract.
Any help regarding this ? I am using python .

Hi Ahmed,
Getting VWAP for future contracts is a unique case since subscribing to futures creates a universe of futures contracts with a variety of symbols, and so a generic self.VWAP() indicator won't work. You can get daily VWAP, however, by creating a dictionary in the Initialize() method and then populating it with values in the OnData() method. This will allow you to build a dictionary dynamically using contract symbols as keys and VWAP values as dictionary values. Please see the attached backtest for an example which should provide you with the necessary tools to implement this in your algorithm.
