I am interested in toying with the Bill Williams alligator concept but am not seeing shifted moving averages or smoothed moving averages (SMMA). Do these concepts exist in the available indicators maybe just referenced as a name that I am not familiar with?

Hello.
Smoothed moving averages (SMMA) and shifted moving averages are not a part of the standard indicator library yet in LEAN. However, there is a feature request for a Smoothed Moving Average in this GitHub issue. Track the issue if you are interested in updates on the implementation of the feature.
It is possible to setup smoothed moving averages and shifted moving averages as a custom indicator. For further information on how to create a custom indicator check out this community post.
Also, check out the Indicator Extensions which allows you to combine multiple indicators in this documentation section on Indicators.
