Dear QuantConnect Community,
I've been trading CFDs for quite a while. At my current CFD provider, it's possible to trade only a fraction of a contract. For instance, the german DAX is valued at arround 13.000 and I could only buy 0.5 of the value (hence 6.500).
I'm currently tryting to setup a diversified CFD portfolio in QuantConnect. For example, in a 100,000 portfolio, I would like to invested in 0.5 DAX CFDs (thus a countervalue of approx. 6.500). However, when running the backtest with PortfolioTarget("DE30EUR", 0.5) in my Portfolio Construction Module it doesn't work while using an integer does. Any ideas?
Thank you so much!
Shile Wen
Hi Moritz,
Which brokerage are you using? We only support CFD with Oanda and their minimum order size is 1 for CFD, which is why the orders are failing.
Best,
Shile Wen
