My company has just set up a quantitative investment department with me as the head. However, I would like to know which brokerage company we can register with inline with Quantconnect. Before now, I have run a paper trading with Alpaca, and the algorithm performed well. Please, tell me. Is this possible? If yes, which company or companies are available to us?

After opening an algorithm in the lab, you can click on the Go Live button to go live; the first step to do so is picking a broker. from this screen you can see the brokers that are integrated with QC Cloud. Its possible to integrate other brokers, but you'd need to write the integration code for it.

For equity, I believe most folks here use Interactive Brokers, me included. It's fairly well known to be one of the few brokers that offer institution-grade execution / order fills. Alpaca was once supported, but is not longer, due to some unfavorable terms of service. QC also has a Tradier integration, albeit in beta --I have dabbled with Tradier outside of QC (in a pure python proof of concept), and it seemed to work very well. I've heard they also have great fills, but i'd personally rather wait till it's out of beta. For crypto, I believe most use Coinbase --I do as well. For Forex, Oanda is a big favorite, and comes highly recommended as one of the more trustworthy FX brokers (there are a lot of dodgy ones out there). I am yet to use them though.

Thanks a lot, @ekz.. It's a pleasure reading from you again. I know these, if I may say. From your suggestion, I think we'll be going for Interactive Brokers. However, I think the right question should be “can we open an account with Interactive Brokers from Nigeria?” I might need to make more researches on this, though. Nevertheless, a quick answer will do.
