Hello everyone,
Recently, I have been back testing an algorithm that makes heavy use of Tiingo News history. However, rather recently, it stopped working reporting the following error:
“Runtime Error: The current user does not have permission to use NKE,NKE,Minute,TiingoNews,Trade,Adjusted. Please contact your organization administrator to request permission. (Open Stacktrace)”
This never happened to me before. It appears I lost permission to use Tiingo News. What should I do now? Is this normal?

Hi there,
We've quietly pre-released our new Datasets portal. This will give vendors the ability to distribute their data on QuantConnect and we can now support commercial models beyond just Alpha Streams. Previously requiring it to be free for backtesting limited the number of vendors who would participate, now vendors can set a price and distribute it to organizations on QuantConnect, or distribute off QuantConnect via the LEAN CLI. Most alternative datasets will still be free for Alpha Stream use, but if you're using them for commercial purposes we need to make it sustainable for the data vendors with a fair low fee.
TLDR: Tiingo is now a paid data source; you can see details of the new integration at the link below.

In 2021 to expand the offering of datasets to the community and be more sustainable we needed to support commercial datasets. This has meant we now can support hundreds of data vendors with millions of datasets!
