Hello Everyone,
My question my be dumb, but still I want to ask. I know that Alpaca is not part of the brokers that QuantConnect can use anymore because of the amount of request that backdating requires. Also, I know that QuantConnect IPs are being blocked by Alpaca. My question is, because I am running LEAN Quantconnect locally in my computer, can I use Alpaca as my broker? My IP is not being blocked by Alpaca so this should not represent an issue for me, but I am not even able to see the option in the listed brokers.
Some Guidance will be much appreciated as Alpaca is free of Charge.

Hi Richar,
I don't see why it would be impossible. You would need to implement Alpaca as a broker in LEAN. Don't think this is trivial but certainly not impossible. Now the difficulty of doing that depends on your coding skills. No one can tell you how much time it would take you. Sure thing is that if you don't really have professional experience in C# coding, this will be difficult.
But then, would your IP eventually be blocked too? Or it would not because then, it would not be the entire QC community knocking at Alpaca's door (which Alpaca thought it was too much knocking) but only you?
