Hello
I'm new to QuantConnect's Research.
I'm want to use C# as my language in research notebooks. According to this link
I need to select Foundation-C#-Default kernel. When I'm clicking on Foundation-PyDefault value, I can see search bar, option Foundation-Python-Default and line “Select Another Kernel…”. When clicking on it - I see only search bar with text “Type to choose a kernel source…” and some small blue progress running. But when I'm typing something like “C#” or “Foundation” - nothing is shown.
Question: how can I change kernel to use C# syntax?
Mia Alissi
To change the kernel to use C# syntax in QuantConnect's Research environment, Eugene should ensure that the C# kernel is properly installed and available in the JupyterLab environment. If the kernel is not appearing in the list, it might be due to a configuration issue or the kernel not being installed.
Here are the steps Eugene can follow to resolve the issue:
Verify Installation: Ensure that the C# kernel is installed in the JupyterLab environment. This can typically be done by checking the available kernels in the JupyterLab settings or configuration files.
Install Kernel: If the kernel is not installed, it may need to be added manually. This can involve installing the appropriate C# kernel package for Jupyter.
Restart JupyterLab: Once the kernel is installed, restart the JupyterLab environment to refresh the available kernel list.
Select Kernel: After restarting, try selecting the kernel again by clicking on "Select Another Kernel…" and typing "C#" to see if it appears in the search results.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, Eugene may need to consult QuantConnect support or community forums for further assistance, as there might be specific configurations or updates required for the QuantConnect platform.

Hi
I checked the links, but I still can't resolve my issue.
Mia Alissi
For installing the C# kernel in QuantConnect's cloud editor, Eugene should follow these steps:
Access the QuantConnect Research Environment: Log into the QuantConnect platform and navigate to the Research Environment section.
Kernel Management: Go to the kernel management section within the environment settings.
Check for C# Kernel: Verify if the C# kernel is listed among the available options. If it is not visible, it may need to be installed or enabled through the platform's configuration settings.
Installation Instructions: Follow any specific instructions provided by QuantConnect for enabling or installing additional kernels. This might involve using a package manager or making adjustments to configuration files.

Hi
“Log into the QuantConnect platform and navigate to the Research Environment section.” - where can I find Research Environment section?
Mia Alissi
Eugene can find the Research Environment section by logging into the QuantConnect platform. Once logged in, he should look for the main navigation menu or dashboard. The Research Environment is typically accessible from the main menu, often listed under sections related to research, development, or projects. I'm having the same issue, don't have “Foundation-C#-Default” available anywhere… Is it supported at all? Is there any doc that describes how to install it?
