Buying Power - returning $0.65, No Holdings, $5000 starting cash

Hello All,

I am trying to understand GetBuyingPower. From what I am seeing, when I add an crypto assset the buying power is returning Cash / Asset Price.

However, if I swap out BTCUSD with an equity AAPL, GetBuyingPower returns $5000.

Attached is the Crypto example.

Is this a bug or misunderstanding on my part?

Here is the comparison with an equity

The difference is due to different buying power models (AKA margin model).
Since GDAX only supports cash account, under its brokerage model, cryptocurrencies use the CashBuyingPowerModel.
On the other hand, equity use the SecurityMarginModel.
