I wanted to know if you have any recommendations on the rule of thumb for adding funds to a live algo account. I have seen some ppl post on the forums after 3 months or 100 trades , to add funds. But then i also hear contradicting statements like "past performance does not indicate future performance", so how much can i trust my code ? Right now i'm using 50$. I'm not a coder by trade, so i don't understand the fundamentals but i know that code only does what I tell it to do. But unforseen circumstances happen. I guess the proof is in the pudding, and i just need to trust the results. My current plan is to stick with 50$ and increase with small amounts every week since i'm using forex, the position sizes are very low.
