I'm trying to get started with QuantConnect and I'm having trouble seeing logs. As I understand the code it should log a few simple things and then quit the backtest immediately, but for some reason it runs for like 10 minutes and doesn't output any logs.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Timothy,
The main problem is, the filter in fine selection is too narrow and nothing has been selected. You might want to change the filter so that more symbols could fit in. Moreover, fine.EarningReports.PeriodEndingDate is usually updated with a long period of delay. I would recommand using fine.EarningReports.FileDate, as it is updated much more frequently.
Please notice that fine selection can be very time consuming, so it's always a good idea to filter out more symbols in coarse selection to reduce the amount of work in fine selection.
