Hi all,
In attempt to go live with my algorithm, it attempted to order SPXL but got a "Contract is not available for trading" error. Same thing when trying to buy manually. Does anyone have an idea of what this is?
I've sent a support email to IBKR so I will update this thread if there isn't already an answer.

After some research, seems like I need to have the Trading Permissions turned on: "Complex and Leveraged Exchange Traded Products"
and in order to turn that on: "To be approved to trade Complex Or Leveraged Exchange Traded Products, you must have executed at least 30 prior trades in Stocks, Options, Futures."
Seems a bit bonkers, especially for that have been doing buy and hold strategies. I'll email to see if I can get an override or some sort
Will continue to update this.
You change the settings of your trades (increase) and request tradding permissions for Complex and Leveraged Exchange Traded Products.
Then you have to take a 10 question exam that really is just there to inform you about the risks and dangers of these equities (Which everyone should research and know about - Dont sue IB when you lose money!) and after that I have access. Giving algorithm a second try on Monday and will close the thread if successful.
