Hi,
I just joined QuantConnect today, so please apologize my ignorance.
I'm wondering if it is possible to edit my backtest in Visual studio with the Lean framework, run it and get my browser to pop up with the backtest results (without running the backtest using my own CPU).
Is it common to execute backtests that way? I would like to avoid copy pasting my code in the web code editor (or sync it with Skylight), then run it from the browser....
Best Regards,
Shile Wen
Hi Vincent,
I'd suggest looking into QC CLI for this feature, which returns the backtest results as a JSON file, which you can create a view for, such as loading the file to a pandas DataFrame. Furthermore, it's not possible to run the backtest on your own CPU if you don't have the data.
Best,
Shile Wen
