Hi
I'm new to quantconnect. I want to trade fx on oanda and i'm abit confused about the exact order type I should be using and if I should be using the ask mid or close price etc. Obviously all I want is to buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest price. I know from trading on oanada manually if you set a stop or take profit order it doesn't necessarlily go through when the price has obviously hit your set point, it seems to lag behind abit. Is it best to do it all manually or use the stop/take profit orders?
Thanks Adam

Hi AHill,

SL and TP orders may not be executed immediately if they place limit orders. An overview of our order types is available here.

This is up to the preferences of each trader. However, we encourage users to place TP and SL orders.
Best,
