Hi QuantConnect Team,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with the research environment where, occasionally, the research nodes seem to stop functioning while using a notebook. When this happens, even running basic code (like 1 + 2) results in the cell getting stuck in an infinite running state with no execution. The code does not even involve loops, so I’m unsure what causes this issue.

Once this occurs, I cannot interrupt the code or restart the kernel. The usual failsafes like interrupting or restarting the kernel do not work. When I try to interrupt the code, it shows the "Interrupting..." message, but nothing happens. I’ve also tried closing the code space using the built-in close button and restarting the kernel, but I get a "Detecting Kernel" notice, but no actual kernel is detected upon attempting to restart. This seems to happen because the kernel is never actually shut down, and as a result, it's no longer available for use.

This issue has been disrupting my workflow, and I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this or if there’s a way to resolve it. This happens remarkably often, if I use the research notebook environment for any meaningful amount of time. The only solution I have been doing is simply leaving QC for about 30+ minutes, and hoping it resolves itself. Any suggestions on how to avoid or fix this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!
