Accessing Project GIT Repository

Maybe this is a very simple/obvious thing, but I note numerous claims of being able to access a Git repo for our projects; but I can't find any details on where these repos are, for the various projects I've cloned.

Are these details only open to certain account types?
Update Backtest

(I'll note this is apparently mentioned in the documentation - https://www.quantconnect.com/docs/Tutorials/Backtest-Strategies-Via-GIT#4.3.1 - but that section doesn't exist.)

Welcome @Noon! Sorry about the old documentation - we actually removed this feature 2 months ago. The real feature people wanted was backtesting from Visual Studio -- and a better way of doing that was using a REST API and a small plugin we installed into VS.

This way you can continue using your own version control system (Hg, GIT, SVN), and just submit backtests. We published the beta version of the API; here you can do almost everything you want with the IDE.

We also open sourced a community plugin which uses the API -- and plugs into Visual Studio. I'd welcome your help if its something you're interested in. The plugin is alpha release, and we'll tidy it up after live trading is public.

I updated the documentation, fixed numerous holes and removed references to Git API. Thanks for that @Noon !

Hi @Jared, thanks for letting me know about that!

Hey Jared Broad if you removed it .. what’s the most efficient way to deploy locally developed Code the qc cloud infrastructure?

I would like to have the code developed locally (debugging purposes) and deploy it for live trading to your infrastructure. As this are quite a lot of files, git seems to be the only approach from my POV.

Fyi most of the Links are down. So I couldn’t find mich about the API you mentioned earlier.

Best,

Johannes

The Visual Studio plugin is the most efficient way;

Thanks Jared Broad, is there also an efficient way if you're using local development using Python on a Mac? (which i'm just trying to get up and running ;-))

Visual Studio works on Macs; not sure if the plugin does but it should.
