For my IB account I have two authorizaed users (main user A and my wife's username B). I used to just use user B for my QC algo while keep my user A account in TWS to monitor the trades or test with some algos. It was working fine for the past year. Recently, IB required me to add a mobile verification for user B otherwise I would not be able to place any trade either through QC or TWS. I have added the mobile verification for user B but I could not deploy algo through user B on QC any more. IB was sending me the SMS verification each time when I tried to deploy and QC would just simply timeout. Is there a way to get around this issue? THX.

Got it and thanks. BTW, I think with the verification card you can disable the 2FA so I can use my account A on QC w/o any problem. I have not figured out a way to disable the MSM verification in my IB account management. Does anyone know whether it is possible to disable this type of 2FA? Thanks.

We only require partial opt-out to trade via API; you can keep the account management section covered by 2FA.
