Navigating the forum I think I found some good explanation of what an active strategy is.
My point is: how important would be to have your algorithm marked as "active strategy" ?
I haven't found any explanation that really goes into the details about the benefits of having an active strategy, or when is convenient to have one (I'm doing forex).
I suppose it may have some kind of importance considering there is a check mark in the Alpha Ranking chart

There aren't any fundamental restrictions on having or not having an active strategy. The reason we let you know if your strategy is active or not is algorithms that are submitted for listing on AlphaStreams must be active strategies. This is because most funds don't want buy-and-hold strategies, they want ones that provide returns and protect against risk in new ways, and generally active strategies accomplish that. However, you can create and live trade any type of algorithm you wish, including non-active strategies.
