On your pricing page, under Prime, there's a green check indicating Visual Studio coding support. What is meant by that? I very much prefer to code in Visual Studio.

There is a Visual Studio plugin which ties into the QC API; you create projects; code in Visual Studio, and can click the button to backtest it on QuantConnect's servers. The projects are still stored in QC but the coding can be done locally.
The plugin is in LEAN under the VisualStudioPlugin project. If you build this and run the vsix file it will install the plugin to your VS.
You might need the VS SDK installed to build the plugin. If so we'll host it somewhere so its easier to download and install. We mostly want people to use the open source so they see how it works and ideally can extend it if desired!

PS: Strictly speaking you don't need a prime account for this. It was intended to be a paying client-only feature but has remained as an open-beta for a long time so anyone can use it. Ultimately as long as people continue supporting the community and open source project we can make some of these features free and just charge for heavy resource consuming ones (like live servers/optimization).

Excellent, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks Jared.
Can someone write a simple step-by-step guide how to integrate VS with QC data sources, backtesting and trading?
I installed the plugin by following instruction in link below
However I don't see any new button that lets me run backtesting on QC server.

I installed the plugin. How do I configure it to use data from QC servers?
After you install the plug-in: Tools > QuantConnect > Log-in
It is ask for user id and tocken. You can find them in https://www.quantconnect.com/account
Next, you right click in the file you want to send to the cloud. See attached image.
