Introduction

Assistants are specialized AI agents inside QuantConnect that handle the distinct stages of building a trading strategy — sourcing ideas, validating them, coding the backtest, and shepherding the result through paper trading. Each one is an expert in a single part of the workflow, with the tools to actually do the work rather than just describe it. Talk to an assistant directly, or hand the whole job to the Conductor and let it route the work through the team on your behalf.

Add Assistants

Follow these steps to add Assistants to your organization:

  1. Log in to the Algorithm Lab.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Organization > Assistants.
  3. Click Add Assistant.
  4. Fill out the New Assistant form.
  5. Click Create Assistant.

Update Assistants

Follow these steps to update the Assistants in your organization:

  1. Log in to the Algorithm Lab.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Organization > Assistants.
  3. Click an Assistant.
  4. Edit the Assistant configuration.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Delete Assistants

Follow these steps to delete an Assistant in your organization:

  1. Log in to the Algorithm Lab.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Organization > Assistants.
  3. In the row of the Assistant that you want to remove, click Delete.
